Istanbul being the only city located on two continents (Europe and Asia) is divided by Bosphorus strait which connects the Aegean and Mediterranean seas to the Black Sea. For bird watchers it is a very important location to watch the migration of many species including raptors for 5 months a year

In a good day in Late March, April or September one can observe more than 10.000 birds over the hills along Bosporus.
Species: Levant Sparrow hawk, Honey Buzzard, Common Buzzard, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Spotted Eagle, Short-toed Eagle, Booted Eagle, Egyptian Vulture, White Stork, Black Stork
