Visiting two Ottoman must seen sites of Istanbul. Topkapi Palace; primary residence of Ottoman Sultans for 400 years. Besides the well preserved architecture, where we can explore the lifestyle of Ottoman Sultans, Museum hosts Imperial treasury, Porcelain and kitchen utensils collection, Imperial carriages, Arms and Armory collection, Holly relics, Miniature and portrait gallery... We visit the New Mosque, completed in 1665. Originally named Valide Sultan Mosque, the construction is ordered by Safiye Sultan

Itinerary

After meeting our guide in our hotels lobby, we drive to old city to visit Topkapi Palace. This former residence of the Ottoman Sultans, houses a fine exhibition of porcelain, jewelry, silverware, glassware, clocks and Ottoman weaponry, royal treasures and was once the home to the world’s largest harem.


Secondly we visit the New Mosque, completed in 1665. Originally named Valide Sultan Mosque, the construction is ordered by Safiye Sultan, the wife of Sultan Murad III and the mother of his successor Sultan Mehmed III, hence the name Valide Sultan meaning Queen Mother. The mosque is an Imperial Mosque and one of the famous architectural landmarks of Istanbul.
