Itinerary

09:00 a.m. Meeting at Kılıc Ali Pasha Mosque at Tophane region.

We will start our tour by a traditional Turkish breakfast including local cheese, pastries and other local tastes like Menemen, Turkish sucuk in old neighbourhood Tophane, which is very stylish nowadays with its Museums (Istanbul Modern, Jewish Museum), bohemin cafes and restaurants, characteristic stores, trendy bars & clubs, local water pipe houses, boutique hotels and Gulluoglu Baklava Store, one of the oldest in the city.

We will embark on local boats from Karakoy pier, cross the Bosphorus seeing beautiful Mosques, Palaces & old Ottoman wooden houses on both the European and Asian shorelines and arrive to Kuzguncuk on the Asian Side to a 200 year old cosmopolitan neighborhood. The locality received an intense move of architects followed by artists, writers and intellectuals.

We will have two lunches in a very local restaurant. One will feels like your mother's kitchen and the other would be a local fish restaurant.

While enjoying our dessert in a local patisserie after lunch, we will learn about Turkish coffee, how it is cooked and served by the most traditional way. Keep in mind that you need to decide how sweet you would like your coffee in advance because you will not be able to add sugar once it is cooked...
We will embark on the boat again for our return trip to Karakoy and tour will ends at Kilic Ali Pasha Mosque around 14:30.
